Elbita is a New Jersey based artist. Her creative process begins with random squirts of paint, moved across the canvas mostly by gloved hands, as if searching for its destination, evolving into its final form. Diluting layers of paint, leaving organic markings and stains form an integral part of her artistic journey.

Through her artwork, she seeks to evoke a sense of longing for human connection, often reflecting fragments of unity while embracing the feeling of solitude. Elbita's aim is to ignite thought-provoking conversations about the things we wish to express but often don't—the need for connection, the starkness of isolation, and its impacts on our relationships with others but most importantly with ourselves.

Her work consists of acrylics, charcoal, and pigment oil sticks, utilizing a variety of painting techniques without the use of a painting brush, to foster authentic freedom of expression. Explore more of her work: elbitabelloart.com.
