This Thursday, March 1st make Small World Coffee a destination on your ArtWalk! Princeton’s vibrant creative scene is celebrated through Princeton ArtWalk, a night for art lovers to stroll the town and explore local galleries and museums at their leisure. We’ve always been dedicated to nurturing the local art and music scene, and we have an excellent line up for our ArtWalk contribution: our Love Show, featuring over 40 local artists, along with a live music double header!
Starting at 5:30pm, the cafe will be filled with music. The Little Brothers will be kicking off the evening with their trademark country blues. They’ll be bringing “a varied repertoire of country blues and old-time music from a time when giant bluesmen roamed the earth. Kim specializes in classic blues fiddle, and some unusual traditional styles that are unique in the music revival. Frankie is a master of country blues stylings on the 6 and 12 string guitar. Mike Hoffmann completes the trio with an array of stolen mandolins and stolen tunes.”
The music won’t stop there! At 8pm, (Small World’s own) Ryan Sarno will take the mic. He’ll be serenading us with his eclectic musical stylings, including some fleet-fingered playing and a pack of rowdy, musically-inclined compadres. (Sources say that Ryan’s been perfecting “the enigmatic crowhammer picking technique,” but we’ll have to wait, and judge for ourselves!) To get an idea of what you’re in store for, check out Ryan’s website.
And finally, if you have yet to view The Love Show, then you most definitely should plan to visit Small World on Thursday, as the show is in its final days. Love-themed artwork by artists from all walks of life adorn our cafe walls, from painting to photography – even an outrageous window installation!
Enjoy the ArtWalk, and be sure to stop in for some music, art, and a shot of espresso!
