Tom Trovas is a self-taught guitar player who has been playing since he was twelve. A professional musician since 1971, he has opened for such greats as Shemekia Copeland, The Stylistics, Little Charlie and the Nightcats, Sean Costello, The Iguanas, and many others. Trovas toured with bands throughout the US and Canada and played with members of Janis Joplin’s, Frank Zappa’s, and Paul Butterfield’s bands in Woodstock, NY. In the 80s, he was the lead guitar player for the Philadelphia International Records touring group, The Force, A funk and R&B band that played with and often opened for Billy Paul.

Tom’s musical vocabulary and repertoire is a confluence of Blues, Jazz, Funk, and R&B. Currently, his group features many Jazz and Blues standards and several original tunes. He is also the lead guitar player for the Buicks, a Bucks County blues band that has been around for almost 40 years.
